About This Hunt

Hunt Country The country which is in Glamorgan and Powys is mountain with large areas of foresty plantations on either side of the valleys to the north of Pontypridd. It includes the foothills of the Brecon Beacons to the north of the A465. Heads of the Valleys road - rugged and high (2,900 feet) open country. Adjoining Hunts: Gelligaer Farmers, Tredegar Farmers. Llangeinor, Banwen Miners, Sennybridge Farmers, Brecon and Talybont and Pentyrch.

Hunt History The Hunt was formed in 1996 from the amalgamation of the Taf Fechan formed in the early 1960's, and the Ystrad, reformed after the 1939-45 war. Both were originally farmers' packs.
