About This Hunt

Hunt Country The country which is in Yorkshire is moorland and foresty, hills and gills, and lies between Whitby and Pickering. A sure-footed horse is required. Centres: Lockton and Newton-on-Rawcliffe. Adjacent Hunts; The Derwent, Sinnington, Farndale, Goathland.

Hunt History The Hunt was started in 1939 by Captain W.S. Medlicott, who was Acting Master, Honorary Secretary and Treasurer until 1947.
