About This Hunt

Hunt Country The country lies in North Yorkshire and is moorland and grassland in the valleys. Scenting is poor in the fields, but good on the moorland and in the forestry to the east of the country. Fields are small: 10-15 on horseback, with mostly car followers. Best Centres: Castleton and Kirbymoorside, whence meets of the Sinnington are accessible. Adjoining Hunts; to the west the Bilsdale; to the north the Cleveland; to the east the Glaisdale and to the south the Sinnington.

Hunt History The Hunt dates from 1835.
